Jaw jaw not war war!
The skills of negotiation are always in demand and a fundamental requirement of Key Stage 3. Getting students to practice negotiation can be assisted by recording the process and then examining it afterwards.
Breaking down the process of a negotiation can help students to understand what went wrong, what went right and how to improve their own individual negotiating skills.
Communication
You mean I have to stand up there and talk!
Taking part in oral debates, defending positions in public and public speaking all require practice and confidence. Key Stage 4 students can benefit from practice in the classroom or hall.
Use a Coomber and a microphone to set up an improptu "Speakers Corner", debate or mock election campaign. Children have an opportunity to develop public speaking skills while working with a microphone and PA in a friendly atmosphere (and you can record it as well).
Learning how to enunciate clearly in public, be a confident speaker and to project one's voice clearly are invaluable tools for life. Coomber PA systems can help develop these skills.
