Talking
Do people understand me?
What do we sound like when we are learning a new language? Recording our speech, or listening to what we say - as we say it - can have a profound affect on our understanding of how we sound to others. Ultimately it affects our ability to be understood.
The use of CD recorders and cassette recorders in the classroom gives children the opportunity to develop their own language communication skills so that they can be clearly understood.
Listening
What did he just say?
Accessing the vast collections of material on audio tapes and CDs allow children to more clearly understand a language than by simply reading it.
Using audio tapes to support Modern Languages lessons helps children to improve fluency of speech and their understanding of what is being said.
