6000 and 6100 Series DownloadLast updated 21/12/2007 GDB Download the latest version of 6000 range software by following the instructions below. The software can be used as many times as required - and is free for use by owners of any 6020, 6021, 6030 or 6031 model. Copyright of the software is, however, retained by Coomber Electronic Equipment Limited. You are permitted to use it ONLY to upgrade Coomber 'Real Time' CD Recorders.
How it Works A file, "wrbootcd.exe", will be downloaded to your hard drive. Double clicking on the file will cause the 6000 upgrade programme to burned onto a CD which can then be inserted into any 6000 model. Simply following the instructions shown on the LCD screen will then lead to a succesful upgrade. To do this you need a PC, a CD writer (with a blank CD-R in the drive) and an internet connection! CLICK HERE to download wrbootcd.exe Alternative Method If the above fails, try downloading our "Zipped" version. This includes a "binary" file and a "read me" file that explains how to burn the upgrade onto a CD as a disc image using Nero (not Nero Express though - it needs to be the fullblown version). CLICK HERE to download the "zipped" binary version. Notes:You will need a CD writer in order for the programme to work. If a CD-R (or CD-RW) is not in the drive then you will be prompted to insert one by the programme. If you do not have a CD writer you can copy the programme "wrbootcd.exe" to a floppy disc (or other medium) and from there to any Windows PC with a CD writer in order to create your 6000 upgrade disc.
There are two reasons we know of why downloading "wrbootcd.exe" might fail. Firstly because the PC user is not logged on with "administrator" and permissions in either XP or Vista. Secondly, we are aware that Roxio CD burning software is known not to burn the Coomber 6000 binary image onto a CD. Perhaps trying other CD burning applications such as Nero may help. Contact Us:This is a learning process for us and we want to know how you got on. If the programme failed to download or run as expected, please contact us and tell us what happened by e-mail at design@coomber.co.uk. Don't forget to include your contact details so that our design engineers can contact you if necessary! If we cannot solve the problem we will ship a copy to you by post. |
