- Cassette Quality
- Prior to packing and dispatch, all of our tape mechanisms are tested using a "wide dynamic range" test recording on TDK D tapes. In this way we can ensure that customers enjoy high quality sound output from a new Coomber recorder/player.
- We recommend the use of proprietary branded cassette tapes with our equipment.
- Lower quality (cheaper) cassettes often have a limited dynamic range. Recordings may sound flat or dull.
- All tapes leave some particulate deposits on the playback/record heads - cheaper tapes are often likely to do this much more quickly, causing a rapid impairment of sound quality!
