Rechargeable Batteries
To increase the "use anywhere" philosophy adopted by Coomber, many of our products are fitted with rechargeable batteries. On this page you will find a guide enabling you to get the best from your rechargeable Coomber product.

About Rechargeable Batteries
Batteries discharge at different rates depending on a number of factors:-
  • the original charged state - was it fully charged before use?
  • battery age - batteries wear out with time (just like a car battery) and are less able to hold a charge as they get older!
  • frequency of use - often used batteries age more quickly than those used occasionally.
  • type of use - heavy useage will tire a battery more quickly than light useage (marathon races are not run at a sprinters pace!).
  • volume - higher volumes require more power, so the battery will discharge more quickly.

Completely exhausted batteries are prone to damage. Never let a battery become completely discharged - better to recharge it when the indicator starts to flash!

Batteries have a finite life, usually involving a discharge/recharge cycle of about 250 times. Heavy / ill-useage will reduce the number of recycles possible.
