Hallsound Trolley Wheels
We receive occasional complaints from customers that have purchased our hallsound trolleys and find that the wheels keep falling off.

Careful re-reading of the assembly instruction will reveal that the wheels are secured to the trolley using an allen key supplied with the fitting kit. Assuming that you still have the allen key the problem is easily rectified.

If not, a replacement 6mm allen key can be purchased from your local tool shop or DIY store.

Note: The trolley must be laid on its side to secure the wheels properly. Ensure that all items are removed from the trolley before attempting this procedure.

To secure:-
  • Make sure that the nut (A) at the top (above the plastic tube (B)) is at least hand tight.
  • Insert the wheel back into the frame.
  • Lock it into position using the allen key (as shown in the diagram above).

Tip: Turn allen key clockwise to tighten the assembly.

As the bolt tightens it forces the plastic tube to expand, thereby locking the wheel to the tubular steel frame.

SAFETY NOTE: For safety reasons it is adviable to use the allen key yearly or termly (depending on your Health & Safety policy) to check that all of the bolts on the trolley - including those securing the wheels - are checked for tightness.
